Formula One agrees deals in Eastern Europe

Formula One Management, the rights-holder of the F1 motor racing championship, has secured two key television rights deals in Eastern Europe for the next three seasons. It has signed with commercial broadcaster Polsat in Poland and with pay-television operator RCS-RDS in Romania.
Polsat and RCS-RDS outbid the incumbent rights-holders to land the deals. The Turning Point agency had the rights in Poland for the 2008 to 2010 seasons, sublicensing them to Polsat. Public-service broadcaster TVR had the rights in Romania for the same period.
