Records tumble for BBC Sport website

The BBC sport website had a record-breaking day on Wednesday 23 June after six million different users logged on, according to the BBC’s director of London 2012, Roger Mosey.
There were 1.5 million users of audio and video, Mosey noted. The numbers were driven by the England-Slovenia World Cup game, where 800,000 people connected to live streams at the same time, up 55 per cent from the previous best of 360,000.
